I want to get my bachelors and eventually masters in some field of geology and was wondering where the best state college in california would be to start out? i eventually want to finish up and CSoM in Colorado, so where do you experts think i should should start out? thanks!

The best one is CalTech in Irvine, but any of the UC schools are good
