gpa means alot but ACT / SAT mean ALOT more .. what are those scores?
Answer 2 :
UCSF
Answer 3 :
USC is probably the most recognizable name. They have a very good student to faculty ratio and actively participate in research. It is a doctorate level program. University of the Pacific and Mt. St. Mary's are comparable. Yet, any school that has mantained consistent accredidation meets the standards of CAPTE (center for accreditation of physical therapy education). You can get a complete list of these schools at: http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?section=PT_Programs&template=/aptaapps/accreditedschools/acc_schools_map.cfm&process=3&type=PT

Answer 1 :
if your moving down here, check out Santa Monica College they have a great xfer rate !! this is the site http://www.smc.edu/homex.asp?Q=Homepage
Answer 2 :
LACC,, or maybe El Camino Community College
Answer 3 :
Orange Coast College has a good transfer rate.
Answer 4 :
Just go to a college and talk to counselor they will tell you where to go probably. From what I know about community colleges, all of them offer some classes that can transfer to USC you just have to make your to take the right classes. Also USC is a very expensive college and you might just be wasting your money and end up making the same amount of money than if you were to go to Northridge University. My advice is get your goals straight , do a lot of research and see which is the best way you can accomplish your goals quickly, and up making money not owing it.

How much does Community College cost in California

Answer 1 :
It costs about $2000 a year to go to a Community College in California. You can do your general education requirements for a 4 year college or get an AA in a variety of subjects. Which ones depend on the specific CC.
Answer 2 :
If you are a current CA resident, the cost is $26 a unit, but it's supposed to go up to $36 a unit for Fall 2011. So for 12 units x 2 semesters (24 units in an academic year), it will cost you about $950 including some small additional fees. Classes are generally 1 - 5 units, depending on the class. 12 units is full time. (CC's usually have summer sessions, and some have short winter sessions, that you can attend also. You always pay by unit.) Non-resident students pay $202 additional per unit (starting in Fall 2011, it was $183), for a total of $238 per unit. Look on a local CC website for complete details, search for cost of attendance, or fees. It depends on where you live, but additional expenses will be books and supplies, maybe around $1600+ a year, room & board -- cost depends on if you live at home or rent an apartment, transportation -- cost depends on if you have a car, take public transportation, personal expenses -- depends on you. It depends on the community college, but there is just about everything at CC's. Acting, filmmaking, plumber, electrician, baker, chef, fashion designer, cosmetologist, firefighter, EMT, etc, in addition to general education for transferring to a 4 year college after 2 years. Look at the website of the community college closest to your home, and if you don't see a program that interests you (if you're not going for a transfer, but just to learn a skill), look at another CC. You can apply for financial aid, if you've just graduated from high school it will be based on your parents' financial situation. If you want to attend in Fall, look into applying asap. The earlier you apply, the sooner you can register for class, and often it's tough for new students to get all the classes they want since the budget cuts caused class cancellations, and more people are going to CC to learn a new skill to be employable. Where is the most affordable housing in California, that is also a college town

Where is the most affordable housing in California, that is also a college town?
I am interested in moving to a college town in California, but the cost of housing is very high. I would like to move to a college town because it will offer varied cultural opportunities. I would also like to be in a town that has relatively good climate - but most importantly, affordable housing prices.
