Cerritos College has some very short term summer courses, but the selection of courses is very limited. Look at their website and see if you can find any you like.

What is a "unit" in college standards in california? Is it like a credit hour

What is a "unit" in college standards in california? Is it like a credit hour?
I am moving to live with my husband and need to transfer to a college in California to finish my degree and all schools where I am from, tuition is based on credit hour, a.k.a. how many hours a class is. I look at everything for the colleges in the area I'm going to be living in and tuition is based on units, but I can't find anything explaining what a "unit" is.

Answer 1 :
high school seniors graduate at age 17-18, depending on their b-day of course, but you can still come to college even if you're 16
Answer 2 :
18, generally. High school goes through age 18, which is why. London is different in terms of how it schools its' youth and is done with much of the schooling at age 16.
Answer 3 :
like the previous posters said 17 or 18, because that is the age they are when they graduate from high school. if you have already completed whatever london's equivilant of our highschool is then you would qualify for entry into college anywhere in the states
Answer 4 :
"College" in the US and the UK is not the same thing. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary: a : a self-governing constituent body of a university offering living quarters and sometimes instruction but not granting degrees <Balliol and Magdalen Colleges at Oxford> -- called also residential college b : a preparatory or high school c : an independent institution of higher learning offering a course of general studies leading to a bachelor's degree; also : a university division offering this d : a part of a university offering a specialized group of courses e : an institution offering instruction usually in a professional, vocational, or technical field <business college> What people most often refer to when they talk about "college" in the US is definition C, "an independent institution of higher learning..." which people attend after finishing high/secondary school. Most people graduate from high/secondary school when they have 17-18, depending on when their birthday is (and as previous answerers mentioned), but if you have finished the equivalent of American high school or have passed an equivalent exam, you should be able to enroll in college at 16 without any problems.

What is Saint Mary's College of California reputation

What is Saint Mary's College of California reputation?
I'm a senior in high school, and I'm about ready to commit to Saint Mary's College of California. It will be a little expensive for my family but at the end of the day, with some debt, I should be able to afford it. What is the reputation of the college? Especially in the Business sector, I want to eventually work for a company in the Bay Area.
