Transferring from one California Community college to another

Transferring from one California Community college to another?
I was planning to transfer from one California community college to another because the one i am currently attending is so packed that getting the classes you need is an all out competition! if i wanted to transfer to a UC later, will attending 2 community colleges look bad on my application? Both of these community colleges go by the quarter system.

Answer 1 :
Dear Transfer Student, It is regrettable you are finding it difficult to get the classes you need at one college. However, it is wonderful you are sticking with your college educaiton. Attending multiple California community colleges during the course of your transfer preparation for a UC campus will not reflect negatively during the UC admission evaluation process. What is important is that you prepare adequately to meet the minimum eligibility requirements, and work to make yourself a competitive applicant. More information specific to UC transfer admission, including selection criteria, can be found at the following link: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer.html. Sincerely, Terri Carbaugh Vice Chancellor, California Community Colleges

What is the best State College in California for business

What is the best State College in California for business?
What college in California has the best and most reputable business programs Okay I know Berkeley is great but I'm talking about state schools not UC schools

Answer 1 :
For state schools, probably Berkeley. For all schools - probably Stanford. Thanks Bill
Answer 2 :
San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) Here's info about their Business program... I love my school!
Answer 3 :
Undergrad -- Berkeley has the best business school in California by a wide margin. It is actually #3 in the US, behind Wharton and MIT. After Berkeley, any of the UC schools that have undergraduate business schools would be excellent choices (this excludes UCLA). Some, like UC-Davis, have a Business Economics program, which would be a good alternative. Many of the CSU schools have undergraduate business programs -- but none are very good. For an MBA, Berkeley and UCLA are the best Public University business schools, followed by UC-Davis. Stanford is slightly better, but is, of course, private. For a PhD, Berkeley and UCLA are great choices.
Answer 4 :
The best csu business program is at Cal Poly SLO. It is light years behind Berkeley though.
Answer 5 :
Obtuse, non-businessy answer: Between most b-schools, the books and the theories are the same. The main difference is who's sitting next to you (which matters) and expectation levels. The point is that if you are interested in learning, you could go nuts in one of those state programs the professor doesn't much regard. If you REALLY like business, you're going to be primarily interested in "rational exchange", and weighing a variety of factors. ( My personal favorite is when people believe they can make a mint without business school, and realize it. ) Plain answer: The best CSU would be the one in the city you'd like to live in. Secondly, I would suggest meeting the professors there.
Answer 6 :
2008 edition of Princeton Review's "Best 290 Business Schools ... Produced by the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton ...

Whats The Best Community College in California

Whats The Best Community College in California?
What Do you think is the best community College in California, and would you consider Santa Monica College the best in California?
Higher Education (University +) - 2 Answers

Answer 1 :
Community colleges have no ranking. What's best is based upon whether they have the classes you need at times of the day that work best for you.
Answer 2 :
I would say for general education most CCs are the same. What makes any CC nice is the cost, location, and class times.

Best college for what????? But if you want a totally generic answer, taking nothing about you into consideration, then the answer is Cal Tech. Although I doubt you'd get in, and I doubt you'd be interested in anything they offer there. But it's the best college in California.
Answer 9 :
i highly recommend UCLA, that's my absolute favorite california school because of its excellent academic, athletic, and social reputation. the area is amazing as well of course other great schools include stanford and uc berkeley if you're into the bay area usc if you like a different side of la ucsd if you want to be very close to the beach and be surrounding in beautiful la jolla other honorable mentions go to uc davis, uc irvine, and uc santa barbara and all these schools are very well known to be wonderful so whatever you choose will be great =] good luck
Answer 10 :
Stanford is far and away the best college. Anybody who did not say Stanford is either ignorant or too proud to tell you the truth. It ranks 4th in nation right behind Harvard, Princeton, and Yale.
Answer 11 :
Mwoot04, The easiest method to find out info is to contact a student. You can locate some contact information for California colleges here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/California-Colleges-Universities.html Students always seem to know what's going on better than outsiders since they get to experience the classes and the lifestyle.
