How difficult would it be to transfer from a California community college to an out-of-state university?
i go to a community college in southern california and i'm planning on transferring to a university after, but i have no idea which, so i was wondering about colleges outside the state. like ASU, for example. i don't know the process or how difficult it is though.

I started at Cal Poly Pomona, and personally, I hated it... I found the professors, students & campus to be rather impersonal... I transfered to CSUSB & LOVED it!!!! I just graduated from the English Department last month... you get a choice of concentrating in lit, comp or linguistics, I was a Lingui & really enjoyed me time there... message me with any other q's, good luck choosing a school!

Am I crazy for deciding to move to California after College and starting my life over

Am I crazy for deciding to move to California after College and starting my life over?
Am I crazy for deciding to move to California after College and starting my life over? I don't know anyone in California but I feel like this is a change that I need to do and I am just tired of living in the Northeast region. I want to be where there are nice beaches with low humidity. That's why I did not choose Florida. Plus Florida has low paying jobs. So am I crazy?

Answer 1 :
Only you can make that decision for yourself. I'd have to say you're at least marginally crazy though, based solely on the price of real estate out there. :-)
Answer 2 :
no. i think it is awesome. you will grow so much there. i promise. **
Answer 3 :
Hey... moving to California is a big step. It's really fast here and we don't have the patients to see you through your learning curve. In all honest, the phase " it's not personal, it's business " so true when you live in CA. Been in CA all my life. By the way, it cost a lot to live here and corporations here have no love for valued employee, it's all about the buck, so employee turn-over is really high. Only the strong survive. In CA, you can be King, or you can be a bum. The good part about it is that. I'ts UP TO YOU!!!
Answer 4 :
This is all up to you but if you are completly restarting your life like if what you did in college you are not going to pursue it then you are still not crazy but it is something that you should deeply consider.
Answer 5 :
If you never plan to own a house, love being surrounded by lots of diverse (euphemism for "odd") people, never plan to retire, and don't mind not being able to drink tap water even if you had to, great!
Answer 6 :
You got to give it a try and it's better to have the experience than to regret it later in life saying "Why didn't I do it?". Give it some time and then see if you like it or not. You can always try to change your destiny if you have the will for it.
Answer 7 :
do you know how much it is to live in cal?
Answer 8 :
why would that make you crazy its a great thing to start over to see new places to meet new people I've started over many times in places i didn't really know people that's not crazy its bold brave exciting and fun good luck I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for and if not there some where just don't lose the spirit to try some thing new or somewhere new
Answer 9 :
Moving to any place just for the weather sounds a bit crazy to me. Where are you going live? What are you going to do for money? It sounds like you were really desperate to escape from your life in the northeast.

San Francisco or Berkeley check http://www.bayareavisit.com/
Answer 2 :
UCSD It's in La Jolla and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It's home of the Toni Award winning La Jolla Playhouse and has a thriving theater program. It's home of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and the Birch Aquarium. It's one of the leading schools in the UC system and the state, with programs in medicine, bio tech, computer science, architecture, etc. It's in a beautiful vacation destination. It's in San Diego (where all Zoners want to move to) and is close to Arizona. BTW UC Berkeley is better academically but UCSD is a close runnerup with the benefit of a better climate / lifestyle.
