I'm thinking about the UCs but they all seem the same because none really go in depth into their schools of education, or I didn't do enough research. Which college in California has the most nationally recognized teaching for an education major?

Your looking at it the wrong way. Make a list of colleges in California that you would like to go to and that you could afford. (Also keep in mind if you get largely in debt teachers don't make much at all so you will struggle to pay bills and support yourself in the futer), which means make sure the college is cheaper. Once you have this list made then you can further look into the school to see how well they rate. (And generally, it won'y matter how well the college is know for the education related teaching because your future employer will not know this information and frankly, they won't care. As long as you passed the required classes with a decent grade and met all of the requirements, that that is all you need.
