Less expensive college in California for out of state student

Less expensive college in California for out of state student?
I live in Illinois but plan on moving to California and living there. I really want to go there after I graduate high school. I want to know if theres a college thats affordable but still strongly academical and is in California. On my practice ACT, with only trying on one test out of 4, I got an 18. SO for the real thing it may be 24 or 25. ANy help? I also have all B's and an A in gym.

Answer 1 :
Well, a city college is always the cheapest. In Calif. they are only 2 years. But you really have to state what region of California you are going to because we have 9 distinct areas. California is as large as some countries, you know. If you can be more specific about location, it will be easy to recommend a college. Do you know what your major might be?
Answer 2 :
The state universities and even community colleges charge as much as private schools charge when you are an out of state student. If you want to go to university in California expect to pay $10,000 a year plus living expenses to go to a community college or $18,000 to $30,000 to attend a Cal State or UC school. About the same at private schools.
Answer 3 :
I am going to give you a link in the sources where you can read the article but by looking over the article it looks as though San Diego state university and the California state university college system is the cheapest colleges other than CC or 2 yr program schools which that maybe for you, or not if so you should look into the California community college system
