Best community college transfer school in California

Best community college transfer school in California?
I am planning to attend a community college in California for two years before transferring to another school. The transfer schools that I am interested in are highly competitive (UC Berkley, Stanford, UCLA etc...) and I am aware of the statistics. The community colleges that I am looking into are De Anza (Cupertino) and Cañada College (Redwood City). If you have attended either school, what was your experience like? Anyone have any other CC's in the area to suggest? Thank you!

Answer 1 :
If you are interested in Stanford, try Skyline College.
Answer 2 :
DeAnza has a better reputation for transfer success.
Answer 3 :
The California Postsecondary Education Commission has a great set of data on transfer rates of each California community college to the UCs and CSUs: http://www.cpec.ca.gov/OnLineData/TransferPathway.asp This may help you narrow down your choices.
Answer 4 :
De Anza is probably better. They offer more transferrable classes and you can get through them quicker because of the quarter system. College of San Mateo has more transfers than its college district partner (Canada) UCs want you to follow www.assist.org for the requirements for your major, have a high GPA, have at least 90 UC transferrable units completed (at DeAnza, its #1 to 49 classes) which is about 2 years anyways. You can follow the IGETC if you want, unless assist.org says otherwise. De Anza also has some transfer admission guarantee (TAG) with some UCs (not Berkeley and LA...nobody has one with them) that you can consider doing. Talk to the academic advisors there for more info. You can only sign 1 TAG though. Stanford has its own transfer requirements, so follow what you find on their site.
