How difficult would it be to transfer from a California community college to an out-of-state university

How difficult would it be to transfer from a California community college to an out-of-state university?
i go to a community college in southern california and i'm planning on transferring to a university after, but i have no idea which, so i was wondering about colleges outside the state. like ASU, for example. i don't know the process or how difficult it is though.

What kind of high school and cc GPA do you have? What did you get on the ACT or SAT? Edit your post and I can tell you about ASU.
